About the artist

I am Mikko Juntura a thirty five year old visual artist living in Helsinki. In 2012 I gratuated from Turku University of Applied Sciences, Arts Academy. Before that I studied two years in Västerås Art school in Sweden (teaching language was swedish). My most significant solo exhibitions have been: Gesture in gallery Art Alex, Helsinki 2012, The Truth About Nothing in Old Town Hall Turku 2014, Maybe the beauty rests in a voice that is quiet or asleep in Tm gallery Helsinki 2014. At the moment I am having a solo exhibition Silent at Varkaus Art Museum until the end of april 2015. The existence is revealing in my art. I express the world as authentic as possible. I show the force that moulds and at the same time keeps everything in order. In my art the force is shown through physical decomposition in an symbiosis with the indissoluble spiritual core. For me this symbiosis is eternal and always present and keeps the world from falling in to chaos.
